Multiple Presentation service instance on single BI Server

Hi All,

We have created Multiple Presentation service instance on single BI Server. Now we need different instanceconfig.xml file for different presentation server.

Can anyone let me know if this is possible or the config file will be common for all the presentation instance in the same machine.

    Best start at the beginning. We don't know your system or why you did anything your saying you did.

    Why did you create multiple presentation service instances? How did you create them? What exact version .- not "12c", not "12.2.1.4", the exact version? What OS? etc.

    Never forget that we aren't sitting in front of your screen.

    Thanks for your response.

    We are using OBIEE 12c. We have created additional presentation server as per Doc ID 2170358.1. We use wlst script for that.

    The purpose of creating additional presentation server is to have different download limit of data from report in different presentation server. So we need to configure instanceconfig.xml accordingly. Hope this clarifies.

    Apparently my wording wasn't very clear.

    "What exact version .- not "12c", not "12.2.1.4", the exact version?" --> "We are using OBIEE 12c"

    So a straight-forward answer: One domain, one instanceconfig, no matter how many OBIPS components you create. All OBIPS components inside the domain use one instanceconfig.
