Obiee Graph
Hi Team/Jerry Casey, @Gianni Ceresa
The below graph is built based on Date column with two measure columns. The requirement is like On X-axis Instead of Date value We need to display Period value something like start of Period Jan-20,Feb-20.How can we achieve it?
Thanks,
Steel

Create a time hierarchy on top of your date.

I want to reiterate the issue @Christian. We already had a time dimension If I added Period the data is summing up and showing as month wise data, But I should show up Graph with date and X-axis Label like period.

Christian Berg , Is there a way that I can restrict to display 2013 Q1, 2013 Q2, 2013 Q3, 2013 Q4 only once during the start of the quarter. I also tried the above way but period is displaying multiple times.

If you want the granularity to be "Date", then the whole graph will be on that level. You can't have both
Edit: You can colour it though0 -
First thing first: this is not a graph, it's a chart (sorry, spending lot of time on Graph Database I'm a bit pedantic on this one )
I believe Christian gave you what you are after.

If you are really after a precise alignment of your quarters exactly at the beginning of the quarter instead of across all the months/weeks/days composing the quarter, it would be trying to cheat and have a column which has a value only at the beginning of the period and has "" the rest of the time, but still using the real detailed column to force the level of the analysis down to that level, and using the made up column as display trying to cheat on it.
