Can I create multiple reports under same project in VA?

Hello Experts,
Kindly pardon me for basic queries as I am exploring VA for very first time.
If I need to create a new report like this, I always need to go to create new project?
I can not create a new report under existing project with new viz tab open (and by retaining this old report)?
I assume that it is through clear canvas option:

I think I got the option as below and need to add new canvas. Also should clear canvas work (to achieve same thing) , if i will save as different report?
