  • Did you try the "subpage" functionality?

When you edit your dashboard, add a subpage and get your content there (you can drag&drop full pages content into the new subpage or I'm fairly sure you can also play with shortcuts to point to existing pages somewhere else).

    Thank you for your Reply.

yes I have tried with the subpage... Actually my requirement was in Dashboard A, i have two pages Page A and Page B. Again under Page A, i should have Page A1, page A2, Page A3. Similarly for Page B.

    Ex:

  • You can have A1, A2, A3 as subpages of A. Of course you can't expect A to have content and subpages, if this is your case, the first subpage of A should be the content you expected in A....

While OBIEE is "just a web application", there is a ton of UI components around and you can't easily mess around with frames and iframes to build "embedded" pages into OBIEE pages. It would require more work than that.

You can adopt alternative solutions like navigation and other elements driving the user to the expected place.

    Thank you for your reply,

I have a query about the dashboard subpages. I want to remove only Page B but while i am trying to remove it, removed along with Page A. Is there any possibility to remove only Page B.

  • I believe that what you see and are facing as issue when removing "Page B" is that you would like to have only "Page A" as subpage.

Because a single subpage wouldn't be a subpage but the page itself, by design, you can't have a single subpage.

If you are left with a single subpage, it isn't displayed as a subpage but as the page itself instead.

And this is also why, when you take "Page A" (when it doesn't have any subpage) and add a subpage, the first subpage is "Page A" itself (which you can rename to "Page A1" or whatever to avoid confusing people).

The subpage implementation came very recently in OBIEE and is a weak implementation of a subpage concept.
