Hello

There is an user unable to access a OBIEE Report. The error is attached is here. He used to access this report. But suddenly user unable to access the report. Now, we wonder if User Cache Removal can help.

Other Team Members are able to access the report. Why this user alone is not able to access this report.

The generic error is attached on a screen shot

thx

    a) That's an analysis. Not a report. An "analysis" is an Answers object type. "Report" is a BI Publisher object type.

    b) Your error probably means that that column is denied access for that user. Check the presentation layer for permissions:

    Hello Christian,

Thanks a lot for taking time to reply. We assigned BI Consumer Role to the team. All of them are OK except this specific user. He is not able to access the Report and got the above mentioned error. Permissions were verified and everything seems fine. Please advise if anything else needs to be fixed.

    thanks

    a) You keep saying "report". It can't be made more clear: that's not a "report"! It's an analysis. Just because both render data doesn't mean they are the same thing.

    b) "Permissions were verified and everything seems fine." The error message "nonexistent column" points to the presentation column not being there for that user. And not being there means not being accessible by permissions if others can see that column. Otherwise the column wouldn't be there. So the statement about permissions is questionable at best. At some point you have to have a permission issue.

    Thanks again.

Sorry about my mistake. You are correct. It is an Analysis not a Report.

Reg b) you are correct. BI Consumer Role is assigned to the team of users. We are planning to end date the Role and assign that again to the user.

I hope that might help in this issue.

    thanks

Ok but there still must be a reason. Have you checked permissions on the presentation table above the column? Have you checked permissions on the Subject Area? Is it a hierarchical column and there are permissions on the tree?

The engine won't throw this error unless there's something cutting off the permission stream.
