I have tried several different ways to populate rows that Do not have a certain value and if I try to filter by "is not in" it says "The specified criteria didn't result in any data".

The 2 values are "connect" "disconnect"

If I add the column, it populates all the rows where "connect" exist.

I would like all other rows where "connect" does not exist.

I have tried other ways like include all columns and rows if Null, but that populates rows for every column and every possible answer.

Hope that makes sense thanks.

  • Hi,

I'm sure it does make sense, for you, sadly it doesn't mean much for us who can't see your screen.

Let's start from the beginning if you don't mind.

What product (exact name) and version?

You maybe want to add a screenshot or something allowing to visualize what you are describing.

In case you are using OBIEE (this is the category where the thread is), the product comes without any data. So a question related to data means it depends on how your RPD is modeled and what your sources are etc.

That's why it's very difficult to understand what you really mean in the original post.

Tell us more and hopefully we can have a simple quick answer for you.

Hi, Thank you, I am on OBIEE 14C, A better way to ask the question, Where can I find training or documentation on creating a null report for a combined analysis. Some of the columns I have do not have a direct relationship with each other, and it is inadvertently filter out results because of the presence of a null value on one side of the relationship...

Thanks a lot for your help
