Hi Gurus,

Installed OAS 5.9 on top of FMW 12.2.1.4 (RHEL 7), ran RCU on SQL Server 2016, configured OAS finally, everything is fine, then all 5 URLs (Weblogic admin console, EM, Analytics, XMLpublisher, DV) are working fine (able to login using the weblogic account AND navigate inside). Then tried configuring our Organization's Active directory in admin console, since then able to login to all URLs except EM (still using weblogic account, AD integration failed as i dont see any new users under myrealms --->users and groups Tab). When i enter credentials in EM login page (user = weblogic), i see a message on the same screen that "login is successful, loading next page" but never proceeds to next page of EM. it keeps hanging there forever. Please assist. Also some times the URLs take very long even to load login page in browser (experienced this is chrome, firefox, MS edge).

Note: Initially after setting up AD, tried logging into EM using "weblogic". When it fails with the behaviour mentioned above, reordered authentication providers and movied "default authenticator" again to the top (while still leaving FLAG as SUFFICIENT to both providers), restarted servers and then tried logging into EM with weblogic account. EM behaved same in both scenarios.

Thanks in advance.

Hello nameless user of cryptic designation.

    a) You may want to change your display name as human beings prefer to communicate with...humans rather than 98ZLF which either sounds like a camera model or a Star Wars droid - which admittedly would be kinda cool.

    b) You're facing two distinct things here:

    • EM: That's a known issue and when you let it run its course (10min or more), then you will get in and receive a warning message about "long login time" and "discovery cache" or the likes. No access to my braindump right now but I just saw that last week in an OAS 5.9 on Windows. For this please open an SR with a proper screenshots and logging.
    • "AD integration failed as i dont see any new users under myrealms": Now this is a far more banal and simple issue as it just means something in your security provider setup is messed up. Only way to get through this though is to check every single setting on in side your AD security provider setup. So all the base DNs, the query strings, the credentials etc etc. AD integrations work by the hundreds out there and 99% of all issues are just down to some wrong reference to an LDAP branch or so. best get yourself an LDAP browser, point it to the same Ad with the same settings and you'll immediately see (visually with your eyes, not hidden behind WLS) what gets retrieved.

    Cheers!

    Thanks Chris.

Mentioned another issue of concern as well which is "SOME TIMES the URLs take very long even to load login page in browser (experienced this is chrome, firefox, MS edge)."

Server is a 2 core one (16GB memory), wondering if having just 2 cores causing this behaviour !!!

Nope it's more generalized and you can't just kill it with metal.
