OBIEE 12c to OAS 5.9 security (users, groups, application roles mapping) migration
Hi All,
We having existing OBIEE 12c environment with custom LDAP provider configured.
Now a new OAS 5.9 environment is set up, and a new provider of AD type is also setup in console. I can see users and groups in OAS console which are also present in the old provider (LDAP type in OBIEE 12c). But the user ---> group --->Application role mapping is not yet done in the new provider which is set up in OAS.
We have 5000 users and 3000 groups. So how do we get that mapping to be done in the new OAS setup, Mapping manually is console is ruled out because of the sheer number of users/groups.
Is it something to be done by the OAS front or the AD people should take care of this mapping part.
Kindly throw some insights.
Thanks in advance..

Thanks Chris, but came across exporting BAR file from source (OBIEE 12.2.1.3) and importing it into target (OAS 5.9).
For the RPD and Catalog part this seems fine. But for security --> here i have different providers in OBIEE 12c and OAS. Does this BAR export/import approach still work for my situation ?
Also as mentioned above, i already configured new provider in OAS and i could see users and groups in weblogic console, only part missing is the mapping between them...
Regards..

BAR just wipes out the target with whatever was there before. If you really have to establish or re-establish thousands of relationships, the WLST is my tool of choice
