1.) What's the exact version? "11g" means nothing. There were upwards of 60 versions. A correct version would be 11.1.1.9.190719

    2.) What exact operating system?

3.) Just out of curiosity why are you trying to install a completely outdated and no longer supported product?

Windows 10 is not supported and never was supported.

Your attempt is unsupported in every sense.

The whole 11g family went into extended support (you have to be licensed for extended support) already back in December 2018. Refer to https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocContentDisplay?id=1488475.1

That falls under "works accidentally". Nobody tested or verified that.

OAS is a server application - actually a whole bunch. of servers. The host OS is also a server OS, not an OS for end users running Word.

  • You have Windows 10 Pro: why don't you use WSL for these things? It will at least be on a certified OS while still being "local".

Oracle even released Oracle Linux 7 and 8 in the Windows Store, all you have to do is do your installs.

"The congifuration of publisher crashed during the configuration step in the installation. This always happens to me."

The reason for that is written in the log file. We can't see what's happening on your system. We can't read your log files from here.

You are the only person able to read those files. They contain the answer.

    The process is:

1.) Read what's written in the log file

    2.) Google that error

3.) If the log file refers to another, more detailed log file, read that log file too

4.) Google what's in that log file as well

5.) When posting to the forum, state EXACTLY what's in the log files
