Essbase Calculated Member retreival in OBIEE Reports takes time
Hi ,
My OBIEE version is 11.1.1.7.0 ans have a ASO cube in Essbase 11.1.2 as my source.
There is one ASO calculated member whose retreival in reports takes a lot of time.
Any optimization measures suggested to reduce the wait time in OBIEE.
PS-We have OBIEE Hyperion integration in place already.
Any heads up on improving the performance would be of great help.

Hello Sam,
OBIEE has a lot to optimized ways:
1- You could use the cache management of OBIEE, to hit the first time the ESSBASE CUBE and the second time the OBIEE hit the cache, it improve your time of processing.
2- In your views maybe you have to limited the main information, I mean, OBIEE is a bi web application, and if you try to pretend get a lot of rows, this could give you some problems, as a work around you could limit your view, in your properties by "ROWS PER PAGE", and as a workaround if you want to get a lot of data you could download it.
2- If the 1 and 2 points doesnt apply for your requirement, maybe you have to think, to use the cache optimization of essbase
