Hi All,

One of our data sources is SSAS , I am going to connect BI admin to SSAS. I could find some instructions on rittman site but apparently there are some problems with SSAS hierarchy detection.

Is there any one who is experienced with connection Admin tool to SSAS? I created a XMLA connection type in admin tool but my connection to SSAS is denied.

I know that there are some configurations in SSAS server side which should be done but I have no idea about the exact detailed instructions.

I would appreciate if any one could assist me in finding a valid approach and configuration instruction to connect Admin tool to SSAS.

    Tooba,

    You're saying you have problems but you're not explaining WHAT your precise problem is. No error messages, no logs, no screenshots. You have to provide more input in order to get some answers.

    Also say what you went through to get where you are in detail (not just saying "I could find some instructions on rittman site but apparently there are some problems with SSAS hierarchy detection").

    Thanks for your feedback.

    The error is "Connection time out". I am using OBIEE 11.1.1.7 and Microsoft SSAS 2014.

    I couldn't find any information about compatible OBIEE 11.1.1.x version with SSAS 2014 in oracle documents"Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.x)  Certification Matrix" .Is there any compatible version in OBIEE 11g series with SSAS 2014?

    Do I have to use OBIEE 12c with SSAS 2014?
