Formula syntax is invalid

Hi,

I have just started working on a new OBIEE environment 11.1.1.9... and when we have an incorrect formula in an answers formula column I just get the message -  Formula syntax is invalid. On every other environment I have worked on I also get a bit of info about what the error is. Does anyone know if this is a logging level issue or not?

Hi Thanks Hi Yes, however my question was that  irrespective of the error on the environment we only ever get "Formula syntax is invalid" rather than the actual reason (or as useful as OBIEE can be) for the syntax error.

Do you mean that the same exact formula give you a better error message on some environments than others?

Because that generic message is normal depending on the issue your formula has, but I'm not aware of any configurable level for error messages on formulas (because it's all about syntax and not execution).
