Description

Ability to define for what Canvases a Filter should be pinned (instead of all Canvases by default).

Use Case and Business Need

The option to have the same filter only on certain canvases (and not all of the canvases) is needed in a lot of DV Projects.

Currently, the only possibility to do this is by adding that filter on each page.

In this context an option to Pin a Filter to certain Canvases would be highly appreciated.

    Agreed! The thing I hate the most is unpinning a filter and having it deleted from all canvases. It makes pinning a "last thing" rather than a "first thing" in development which makes no sense.

    Agree with this idea! Unpinning should only apply to the specified canvas not all canvasses within the project.

    Agree. This would make filtering capability much more flexible across canvases in projects.

    Since 5.7 you can choose that a specific filter will not impact the visualizations (some or all). This way you can pin a filter, but for some canvases make sure the content is not wired to it.

    Hi All, I noticed that this point was raised in 2020 and now in 2025 also am facing the same issue and wondering if this capability to pin selected canvases (and not all canvases) can be enabled in SI-DV? This is a genuine requirement for DV developers and will make DV development and usage so easy for us. Especially for Sr. Leadership DVs, we need to use different canvas with different filters and some pinned but not all. I feel this thread should be re-activated and voted for this very much needed enhancement.
