Description
Ability to use attributes with BLOB data type in DV so that images can be used as part of analyses.
Use Case and Business Need
It will be really helpful for the analyses that use images as part of their data such as User Profiles, Country Flags, etc.

At the moment, DV datasets and projects do not support BLOB data types.

OAC is not designed for typical object display instead analyze and mash data. Hence OAC does not support BLOB data types such as BLOB, JSON, and XML
As a workaround you could try to use BI Publisher, which comes integrated with OAC, and does support CLOBs and BLOBs. These BIP Reports in turn can be used in the OAC Dash Board.
Note: The BLOB must be an image. When you execute the query in the Query Builder, the BLOB does not display in the Results pane; however, the query is constructed correctly when saved to the data model editor. BI Publisher does not support querying of BLOB columns in an Oracle BI EE data source. BI Publisher does not support querying of CLOB columns in an Oracle BI EE data source.
