Description (Required):

During the OAS installation the (physical) hostname was grabbed from the OS. Due to different network configuration a virtual hostname is even available on that host which should be used for the OAS configuration. It should be possible to change the hostname after the OAS installation.

Use Case and Business Need (Required):

Our network is devided into different parts. Due to that the OAS connect should not be established on the first available network adapter. We need to change the hostname after the OAS installation

We have gone through this process (since we want to have in OAS configuration "movable" hostname - which is used for moving OAS into different location while preserving this "movable" hostname) recently (we have succeeded, but it was quite tough). You have to perform (after installation) quite a lot manual steps, which are very sensitive to errors, so it is very tedious process. If this would be somehow automated/scripted (or at least well documented what needs to be done). it would definitelly help a lot...
