Extend the "Manage Themes" screen to allow to select a font
Organization Name (Required - If you are an Oracle Partner, please provide the organization you are logging the idea on behalf of):
Every single customer where I did an upgrade to OAS from OBIEE.
Description (Required):
OAS does use the new Redwood style by default, this theme doesn't only change the colors but also use Oracle Sans as font everywhere. This font make analysis and dashboard harder to read. It is fine for the UI elements, but when it gets to data (numbers), not a single one of the upgraded customer could resist the need to change that font.
There is already a lightweight theme management page in /analytics , Administration, Manage Theme, but it does barely support only some basic customizations. It would be really easy to add a drop down list with the few standard fonts and let the administrator choose a different font for the content of their dashboard and analysis.
It isn't just a case of resistance to change: the colors and everything else in Redwood is well accepted, it's really just the font used for analysis and dashboards.
Use Case and Business Need (Required):
Improve readability of analysis data.
Enhancement Request / Service Request:
none

Totally agree, it should also be many more options and easier to change different sets of colors (sections for instance) under Manage Themes. The visual style has unfortunately low priority in Oracle.
