Organization Name
Precision Dies & Tools Mnfg. Co. LLC
Description
Hi Oracle,
We have a requirement to print and scan Barcodes in GS1-128 format but not CODE-128. Is GS1-128 Barcode supported in Oracle Fusion Cloud BIP RTF templates.
What are the steps to be followed in BIP RTF template in order to generate GS1-128 barcodes, if they are different from CODE-128.
We have raised following SR and support confirmed that Printing and Scanning of GS1-128 barcode is an ER and not supported currently.
SR 3-24829512941 : BI : Support for GS1-128 Barcodes for Fusion BIP Report RTF Templates
Thank you in advance.

Business is dealing with a transporter in Norway and all Norway transporters are expecting GS-128 barcode. Failing to do so, the transporter cannot scan the label at the premises and there is also a chance to be penalised.
GS-128 Barcode is simple to use and widely used in the logistics and supply chain industry. It is very important that BI Publisher Report can generate this barcode type, which makes business more reliable on a single system, rather than using third-party label designing software or library.
