How to publish the desktop visualiser as a web URL

Content

I have download oracle visualizer desktop to do some data visualisation. Have done up a sample workbook but would like to expose this as a web url so that people can view this. Hopefully, I was planning to embed this as an iframe of some form in Confluence for instance. Any help?

    Hi,

You created a Visualisation Project, so you'll need either Visualisation tool which can be Visual Analyser in case of OBIEE or BICS.

Not sure if BICS already has the support for the lift and shift of a DVD project but OBIEE (+VA) has.

    Hi

DVD is a desktop tool, what you may want is to publish your project within Visual Analyser as part of OBIEE. with the latest release of OBIEE you should be able to import DVD projects in VA.

  • To be honest technically what you ask could be done but ... it's bad

(I'm kind of sure the licensing conditions prevent that and also it means your laptop/workstation is now a server always up etc.)

So follow what Francesco is saying, it's the correct way of doing things

I see thank you. Am I able to deploy instead of Oracle Business Intelligence 12 c or perhaps Oracle business intelligence cloud Service?

I found the "undocumented" steps to turn on the export .dva feature in OBIEE+VA, and now I can successfully export, but where does it put the "import" command?
