BI Publisher excel output generates many excel columns for one data column when the report contains

Summary
BI Publisher excel output generates many excel columns for one data column when the report contains multiple sheets.

We are working whit a report with many columns, so we have to build a RTF template because the Publisher Web does not allow so many columns.
Also this report has many sheets (tabs) so we have to generate the ouput to Excel 2007 because it does not work in older version (ie. does not generate sheets in older versions of excel)
The problem is that the excel file generates many Excel columns for one data column mixed (see image attached).
The user needs that the excel ouput generate one excel column per data column.
The problem exists only when the report contains many sheets to generate.
We need a solution for that unexpected behaviour.
Note:
If we try to export to Excel 2000 the problem does not exist but the output does not generate the multiple sheets.
Thanks

Suggestion: As your report requires multiple columns then why can't you create you report using template builder for Excel rather than RTF template builder and transforming report to Excel. ? As you are generating report output in Excel 2007 then you can create your report directly in Excel 2007 template builder only where you wouldn't not face these data interruptions between cells.
If you are still looking to this fix, Check the column which is splitting into multiple columns in RTF template and provide the precise group code which is to applicable of the entire row including with splitted column.

We have inherited the build process using RTF templates.
This methodology seems more appropiated to the user needs.
We will try this.
