Hello Oracle DV Users!

How have people been finding the performance of DV. On the desktop tool it is okay, my laptop is of a reasonable spec, but can’t handle anything above 2m rows as it reaches a “row limit” and throws an error, 2m rows isnt a huge amount in the grand scheme of things.

On the server version we are finding to be almost unusable on datasets bigger than 50k rows. The data is held on a very performant Exadata box. Has anyone else has similar issues?

    yea.. its a known limitation with DVD and for that matter VA or DVCS. The connectors don't really support pushdown processing so even a relatively decent sized data cannot be processed in a reasonable time frame
