Beginner-level experience with BI Publisher ..
Currently using version 11.1.1.7. I have deigned and scheduled a report - everything works fine. One minor hiccup .. The format that the report is being sent (through email to a group of users) is excel. When the user receives the email, in the attachments, the name of the file has "0-Document-1" appended. For instance, if the name of the report is "Earnings", the name in the attachment says weirdly "Earnings0-Document-1.xlsx". While the pdf format correctly/simply says "Earnings.pdf".
Is there a format setting that I am totally unaware of ?
Thanks,
Yash

Which platform you are running the report?

By platform, I assume its the OS you are referring to. BI Publisher version 11.1.1.7 is installed on a RHEL 5.x machine. Deployed on Weblogic 11g (10.3.6).
Should it matter on which platform the server is running ?
Thanks,

Hi,
I am not referring, I mean where you are using your rtf Oracle fusion , OTBI and Oracle application or any other platform?

OK, your question prompted me to dig further. When I download/email the report directly from BI Publisher it takes the name as 'name_name.xlsx' say for e.g. 'Earnings_earnings.xlsx'. When I run from the application (Primavera P6) it takes the format "Earnings0-Document-1.xlsx". I guess it's a P6 issue.

Sorry but I did not understand the question. I will try to interpret.
The BI Publisher can independently generate reports from an application's DB right and is doing it as of now except for the issue I described.
Of course BI Publisher is integrated to another Oracle product called Primavera P6. So at the end of the day, the user runs the report from P6. I didn't want to confuse the readers by adding the extra details.

Thank you, I got my answer. So If i am right this report is running from Primavera then you are facing this issue. As you also mentioned this could be P6 issue so could you check if any setting is available in Primavera to change the name of attachment.

Thats right. I based on the findings so far .. it could be a P6 issue. I have posted this in EPPM P6 forum. I will see if I can get some response there else I will log a support ticket. Thanks.
