Accessing Repository Variables in Visual Analyzer
Summary
Accessing Repository Variables in Visual Analyzer
Content
What's the method of accessing repository (and session) variables in Data Visualisation/Visual Analyzer?
In OBIEE we can use something like VALUEOF(CURRENT_FSCL_YR) for repository variables but I'm unsure how to achieve the same with this new tool (which also has access to our repository).
Thanks

Hi,
Using data source option the repository subject area / columns can be accessed in visualization to create a VA project but not repository variables / session.
Thanks
Eswar.

What hasn't bee mentioned in here yet is the actual syntax you need:
'biServer.variables.YOURVARIABLENAMEGOESHERE' for server variables for example.

You can create an analysis which includes your variables though. Just confirmed with a PORTALPATH session variable.
