Data Set management

Summary
Data Set management
Content
Hi,
I have been using DVD for a while and would like to see if it's possible to:
1) Rename a Data Set?
2) Organize Data Sets into folders (just like projects)?
3) Change a Data Set in a Data Flow? (e.g. I have some Data Flows consisting of 2 or 3 Data Sets being merged then processed. However, if I want to change the source Data Set into a different one - I need to recreate all processing afterwards).
Best regards,
Pawel.

Thanks Mark,
Are You able to save a Data Set with a different name or are You referring to Data Flows? - because I cannot find a way to save a Data Set with a different name!
In any case - it's an issue. If I want to change the Data Set in a Data Flow - I have to re-create all processing done afterwards
Regards,
Pawel.

Hi Pawel,
I've not seen the ability to rename a data set ( but you can edit it and save it as something else and then delete the original ). I too have created project folders but again i've not seen the functionality to do that with data - good question actually - I'd be interested if anyone has seen that functionality ( or knows if it is incomming in a future release ).

Mark

Hi Pawel,
I went and had a look at the latest DV. I created a new data set by loading a new Excel file. I then went to the list of data sets and found my new data set. There a 'hamburger' menu on the right for each row and from this I selected 'Edit'. This brought me into the data set in edit mode. On the top right of this screen you can see the undo and re-do icons, another 'edit' icon (looks like a spreadsheet with a pen) and 'create project'. Here, I selected the Edit Icon and was taken into the main edit screen which allowed me to change the name of the data set.

Mark
