Creating insights in DVD 12.2.4
Content
Good morning,
Recently I've updated my DV desktop version to version 12.2.4. In previous versions, when creating a story I added insights and when I changed something to the original canvas, the insight remained the same. In other words: I created a snapshot of the canvas and then I could dive further into the data in the same canvas without messing up my insights. But in this new version, my insights change along with the canvas when I add or remove visualizations. Is this something I need to change in the settings or am I doing something wrong? Because right now, I can't use the insights in the way it's supposed to work.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me!
Kind regards,
Lianne

Hello there,
The insight feature has been removed as far as I can tell - and has been replaced with the "storyboard" function in the Narrate tab that can be presented. A potential workaround is to use the "duplicate canvas" button and then dragging the "duplicated canvas" into the storyboard in the Narrate section in place of an insight - this does essentially create a "snapshot" of what the canvas looked like at that particular point in time e.g.
Step 1: Duplicate the canvas & rename duplicate
Step 2: Drag duplicate to the storyboard
Step 3: Change original canvas
Step 4: The "duplicate" shouldn't change in the storyboard (essentially creating an insight)
^Duplicate canvas ("Snapshot") ^ Original Canvas (after editing)
