Hide Home Page or Data panel
Summary
Hide Home Page or Data panel for specific Roles
Content
I have a requirement to hide either the "Home" link or the entire Data Panel for specific security Roles in Data Vis OAC. Can anyone help with suggestions or recommendations?
Thank you.

Hi Steve, if you mark your project with these specific permissions, users will not see the data and grammar pane when opening them : under inspect menu for your project, Click on the Access and the Share menus and grant your users or groups only a view role (both for Access and Share). That will result in what I describe above.
To experience the result, you can connect to our live sandbox environment there http://www.oracle.com/oaclive, this will automatically log you on as a user with these privileges, open any of the projects to see if this is the experience you need.
Thanks
Philippe

Hi Philippe, The example worked as expected, thank you. Do you know of a way to hide the Home page from users or a way to ensure that they see only their projects and not icons/images of others? The Home page can confuse users when they select Projects that are not theirs.
Thank again,
Steve
