Oracle Analytics Cloud - Bypass username and password
Content
Hi guys,
I'm looking for a way to bypass username and password in Analytics Classic in OAC.
In OBIEE 11g, we could do this using the nquser and nqpassword variables direclty in URL. For OBIEE 12c, I saw that I should use the impersonate mode. But the question is how to do this in OAC? I found this article in Oracle knowledge (OAC : 'Act As' Or 'Impersonate' Functionality In OAC (Doc ID 2401176.1) but according to it, the impersonate mode is not supported for OAC:
"In OAC, 'Act As' or 'Impersonate' functionality will not be supported on Cloud environment because it is dependent on some RPD Authentication features which are also being deprecated."
I need this because customer would like to have a dashboard available in a TV.
Thanks!

Hello Raphael,
As per my understanding in OAC, the authentication happens via IDCS (Identity cloud services) that is the reason we can not directly hardcode the username and password using the nquser and nqpassword (GO URL) as we do it in on-prem OBIEE.
And yes 'Act as' feature is not available in OAC as of now however there is an enhancement request already raised to get this feature in OAC so this is on the product roadmap.
Hope this helps!
