Does Actions created on DV canvases work when embedded in Classic Dashboards?

Summary:

We have created few Actions in DV canvases. When we embed the canvas in Classic dashboards, the links are not available. Is this not a supported?

    As far as I know, when embedding DV workbook (or more precisely canvas of DV workbook) into classical interactive dashboard, there are some limitations connected with "interactivity" of embedded DV canvas:

    • Data actions are not available
    • Conditional formatting is not available
    • Adding advanced analytics (forecast, outliers etc...) is not possible
    • Filter bar is missing

    Also pls, note, that exporting embedded DV canvas (into PDF/Excel) is not working as well...

    So for me plenty of limitation, which would discourage me from using this method of exposing DV content for end users .

    What is pity, that all those limitations are not mentioned in documentation, I have found just following: https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/analytics-cloud/acubi/embed-visualization-dashboard.html, which is very austere description.....

    Hi Subhakara,

    I had tried this. if we set reportmode=presentation the action links do not work. If i set it to full, then it brings in the grammar pane as well, which is not what we want. Do let me know if there are any other options I can try.

    Hi Subhakara,

    What version of OAS are you using? Data action links are now functional on Present tab in OAS 6.4. So if you embed your DV workbook using presentation mode, data action links should work.

    @ANGEL SHIPP Amrita has been asking about embeding into classical Dashboard and what you are refering is embeding into web application via java scripts/HTML tags.
