Is it possible to embed OAC classic reports in APEX applications

Summary:
Customer has a existing application built using Apex. They would like to embed some reports built using OAC CLassic, into the application. We were successfully able to do that using DV visualizations. We were not successful using classic. My query is if it is feasible?

Hi Amrita,
Did you try iframes? I know it would not be seamless but it should let you embed it. However, I would be concerned about the SSO though.
Better would be to stick to DV for embedded reports as their layouts are auto-adjusted based on device.

Hi Siddharth,
There are certain requirements which cannot be met using DV. Hence checking on the feasibility of embedding classic instead.
With classic reports, will SSO not work when invoked from Apex?

I have seen issues with SSO in iframes. Sometimes it asks you to login again or refresh the page. Plus when you embed the classic report the whole page with the header and footer of the page is embedded, which is not aesthetically pleasing.

Thanks for your response Siddharth. However, from what you said, it does not seem to be a good option to progress with.
I will try this out from my end.

Classic can be embedded just like content of OBIEE has been embedded in the past 10 years. Security is of course always something you have to deal with and worse case you will see the login screen first.
The DV way is totally different and things have been developed around to make it embeddable, while classic is more a DIY and cross your fingers (and the official message is that you just have to move your content to DV if needed, but as you say not everything can be done in DV...).
