How to set default value for a dashboard prompt based on user role.

Hi All,
I have "PLAN" dashboard prompt which has list of values.
The "plan" filter in the dashboard prompt, should be set differently according to the selected responsibility.
Example: for Master Scheduler responsibility the plan should be populated with MPS-Current.
For Planner Buyer and Test Scheduler with MRP-Plan Current and for the S&OP Process Owner SOP-Plan current.
How to achieve this? Please let me know.
This should be for all dashboards/reports which is filter is there.
Regards,
Chandra kanth.

Session variable.
By its very nature a user-centric variable initialized per session based on a query.

1.) Google "obiee session variable"
2.) Read
3.) Do
Took ME longer to write this than it would you to find the answer. Add to thar the time delay vetween question and responsw and you see why it's actually clever to invest at least a minimum of effort oneself and not wait to be spoon-fed. Plus you also won't ever learn anything.

HI,
Please let me know how to keep other values along with default value which will be set using session variable based on role.
EG: for the user: Master Scheduler the default value is: MPS-Current. Along with MPS-Current i should have remaining values.
How to achieve this. Similarly for other users also.
Regards,
Shubham Chandra.

Thanks Christian
Shubham,
Just to be clear: you want to have a variable list of values in the prompt based on the role or it's only the default selected value that must change but the list of values is always the same? (it changed between your first post and the last one ...)

It's just about what SQL statement to write in the init block.. that's all but I don't feel like doing someone's homework today.
