I cannot simply load a file into DataSet, file does not have extension but it is same as .csv

Why do I need to rename file to .csv to try to load into a dataset? I'm using Analytics Desktop (MACOs) version.
If I drag file to new dataset , Oracle Analytics open the file in a "text"editor like and when I close it it close all the tool.
Also, I'mt trying to create a ADB connection and it does not create anything and also does not show any simple error message. It just let the "creation"page open and does nothing.
Also, eve nif I rename file it shows error message, but nothing in message that I could debug.

For the file type -- today we do use the file type to determine how to parse the file. Supported file types are:
.xlsx, .xls, .csv, .text, .txt, .tsv, .tab
For the ADB connection, it is not clear what is happening here. Can you make a connection with these credentials via SQL developer or other desktop tool?

I didn't test on Mac but I observed the same behavior in Windows. It would seem the validation is done based on the file extension.
Other comments welcome.

@Bret Grinslade - Oracle Analytics-Oracle might be able to help on that one.
