Count the no. of DV assets
Is it possible to count the total no of DV Assets (by asset type - Workbooks, Dataflows, Datasets) in OAS/OAC?

Hi Dhaval,
I am not sure you can "count" them, but in the OAC console under Content Management, you will find all objects listed. You can apply filters by object type (Workbook, Dashboard, Data Flow, Data Set, etc.), and sort them by Name, Owner, etc.
If you really need to count them, one option could be copying those rows from the Console to Excel and looking at the number of rows in Excel.

Yes. You have the Console with Content Management in OAS, too.

In OAS you can count them also in the database where they are stored. The catalog and the other DV objects are referenced in the tables in the BIPLATFORM schema created by the RCU during install.
Of course in OAC you can't do that because you don't have that access, but an export of the BAR would give you all the content to easily count it.

@EzequielC-Oracle I can see the assets listed under content management but there is no way to copy them into an excel spreadsheet.

There is no copy functionality there. I meant by using the old fashioned way, highlighting the desire content or use Control A to select everything and then Control C to copy. It is a bit crude but it will do the job.

You may also explore the governance extension that is available on Oracle Analytics Library. This is only an example of extension but help with some of your question (although it is user specific).

@Philippe Lions-Oracle Thanks for your response! An admin will have to use this plugin in order to count all the assets generated by all the DV Authors, correct?

I believe this may only list what the admin has access to in this case. Let me know if you see a different behavior. Thanks
