Enhanced DV search functionality for Subject Area columns when creating a dataset

In OAS, when you are creating new reports/analysis, you have the ability to search for items within subject areas, across all subject area locations.
This functionality does not exist when creating reports in DV, using a dataset based on a Subject Area.
Please can the DV search functionality be enhanced to do this, so that it matches the functionality of OAS.
The limited search functionality in DV is making the usability aspect of DV very difficult and is preventing the customer from delivering a full rollout strategy for DV.

Can you clarify the request? In the latest OAS release, when authoring a Workbook, you can search for subject area columns.

This request is in regards to DV.
Oracle have confirmed that search functionality does not exist in DV.

Following are screen shots from OAS 2024.
In Workbook authoring there is a search box that is available above the subject area / dataset picker. The user can enter text and the search will return matching columns from the subject area or dataset. A visualization can be created based on selecting from the returned search list.
Is this the functionality that is being requested?

Business needs to create the dataset using OAS subject areas. Search Functionality which is available in workbook is not at all useful while creating dataset. Missing functionality of search during create data set is critical for business
There are subject areas which has long list of presentation tables, which in turn has multiple sub tables and attributes. Business need to have search functionality (same way as oracle analytics) during browse through subject areas, presentation tables and attributes. Missing of the SEARCH functionality, business has to spend 10 times more time to create dataset as compared to what they can do in analytics

Can you confirm you are looking for workbook style search on the dataset Edit Definition page?

Yes that is correct
And the justification of using dataset over workbook : Datasets allow the blending of data as a snapshots for a multitude of uses, workbooks are reading the data live through Subject Area
