Hi, I am installing Oracle Analytic Server 7.0 on linux. On running the config.sh file in bi/bin/, I am getting the error below.

    @Gianni Ceresa I have been able install it now by having the database and the application on the same server as a work around.

    Hi,

    Any chance that you can open the log file (the path is right there in your screenshot) and post back the full error message? The screenshot only show part of it, therefore nothing can really be said.

    Also: what linux distribution and version are you installing on?

    On a different topic: this OAS version will still have 8-9 months of support only. If you don't plan on upgrading in the coming months, you should consider installing OAS 7.6 (aka 2024) directly (it has 20-21 months of support still).

    As per the logs, the connection to the RCU database is failing, you will need to correct that.

    Additionally, I agree with @Gianni Ceresa , if this is a new installation, then install OAS 2024, not OAS 2023 for the latest feature set and error correction support timeline.

    Hi @SteveF-Oracle,

    Thank you very much. I have downloaded and try installing OAS 2024, I am having the same error. Are there different ports involved during the RCU connection when running the oracle_home/bi/bin/config.sh? I am asking this because I am able to create the RCU when I run /Oracle_Home/oracle_common/bin/rcu.

    I will be updating the profile as well

    You should be able to create RCU schemas by pre-creating with RCU or during the Configuration Assistant.

    Check your current failure logs to see if the same, if so, check the log it is referring to for additional details.

    Looks like the problem in DB settings or connection to DB

    What is your Back-end DB & Version ?

    As @SteveF-Oracle mentioned run RCU utility to create the RCU Schema and check the error you will get there
