    • 1. We have another SR, because the Customer needs to integrate with EBS SSO, so Lightweight SSO must be disabled per our next document, hence they come across the same issue as "After Disabling Lightweight SSO In Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), A Session Timeout Message Appears At Login (Doc ID 2715997.1)"

    Security Integration of OBIEE 12c/Oracle Analytics Server with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) (Doc ID 2825669.1)
    ---x-cut-x---
    Lightweight SSO must be disabled for EBS-SSO integration to work in Oracle Analytics Server
    ---x-cut-x---

    2. Another Customer is trying to show the /analytics login page as follows, so they also need to disable Lightweight SSO, hence come across the Session Timeout Message on /dv

    Above all, it sounds like Customers don't like Session Timeout Message on /dv after disabling Lightweight SSO, is it possible for our Oracle Product management to plan a roadmap to achieve this requirement?

    @SteveF-Oracle @BettyZhang-Oracle @Gabby Rubin-Oracle Please provide an update on Oracle's action plan to resolve the Session Timeout and Logo Change problems in OAS 2024

  • Hi @Shanmukha AV,

    1. As for the session timeout: LWSSO should not be disabled, a MOS document was provided to you.

    2. As for Custom Logo: This is on the upcoming public roadmap for OAC, so the next evaluation for that feature, after it is delivered, for OAS would be the the next annual update.

    Adding the following, if it helps in the interim.

    In the Workbook > Present workspace, there is an option to add a image to the dashboard header which will display as a logo. While this is not a full functionality of custom branding, it serves the purpose to add a logo to the dashboard header.

    Would appreciate Oracle updating their documentation regarding session timeouts. In days past the "User Session Expirty Time" could be trusted but ever since DV came into the picture things are more complex. In OAS 6.4 and prior there was a hard coded 60 min timeout that was never spoken of:
    bitech-analysis-application/irw68b/war/plugins/application/application.js
    "maxInactiveIntervalSecs":3600 "

    I see that now in OAS 2024 it's not the same, and may no longer be hard coded:
    this.isRefreshSessionInfo()) {
    var t = _ + parseInt(1e3 * this.getMaxInactiveIntervalSecs() * .8, 10) - Date.now();

    What about in a SSO setup, what dictates when the check goes out from both the /analytics perspective and from /dv?
