Being able to generate links that points to folders and not to workbooks only
Hello, I'm using DV with OAC and FAW. I wanted to create a dedicate folder for a group of users, where they can find all the reports created for them. To facilitate their job, as they are not BI experts, I'd like to be able to generate a link that points directly to that folder.
However, if I open the folder only (not a workbook) and take the link in the address bar, it defaults to “catalog”, not to the name of the folder.
If I take a workbook, the link is generated for that specific report only, but I have multiple reports, so I'd like to share the folder path.
I’d like to be able to share a link with users that redirect them directly in the right folder. At the moment, it doesn't seem to be possible.
Thanks

anything that would make the user experience better should be delivered….

This is a good idea, and should be fairly simple to deliver.

@Benjamin Arnulf-Oracle this appears to be a duplicate of Ability to create and share a URL for DV CATALOG FOLDER — Oracle, which has been marked as "Planned" since May 2024.
We are interested in this functionality being made available, but are unsure if the current status is valid or if it needs to be updated. Can you or others provide an update on this?

Sounds like a good feature,

Hi @Patrick Koob , this is correct. I will keep that one as there are more votes. We will review it soon and update the status.

This would be a useful feature

While we wait for the feature to be implemented, an alternate approach would be to create a dashboard or landing workbook in that folder whose cover page serves as an index: show links (buttons) to the other reports. Then you share the link to that “landing” workbook.
