Is it possible to shutdown Cluster Controller in OBIEE 12c

Hi,
In OBIEE 11g, we were able to disable cluster controller to open RPD in online mode. Similarly, can we disable cluster controller in OBIEE 12c ? Are there any official doc to disable cluster controller ? I found this blog, which explained how to disable specific component, but when I do this. I was unable to login to OBIEE Answer page (Authentication failing).

No. OBIEE 12c is a single-node cluster. Don't disable the cluster controller. Why do you even want to?

Ok. In OBIEE 11g, we had an issue where we were unable to make any change in RPD in online mode (ex: adding data-filter to specific user id). Later, when we disable cluster controller and central configuration, we were able to perform editing in online mode. So, we are thinking, we may face same issue in OBIEE 12c and to avoid this. We are trying to disable/remove/shutdown cluster controller in OBIEE 12c. Moreover, we don't have multiple BI Servers(active/passive server) and that's why we were trying to disable it. As you mentioned, we can't stop cluster controller, so, does it mean OBIEE 11g and 12c has totally different architecture. Since, we were able to stop cluster controller in OBIEE 11g ?

Personally - I'd leave the cluster controller alone, and raise an SR for your *actual* problem.
