Is there a way to let a user create/delete within a folder but not delete the folder itself?

    Read, Traverse, Write on the folder.

    Read, Execute, Write, Delete on the items in the folder.

    Christian,

    I want the person to be able to do that for objects they create within the folder also, not just existing objects. Will this still work? Or will the new objects inherit the folder permissions?

    Ah. No that won't work. You'd have to apply the effective "Delete" right to the underlying items periodically. Granting "Delete" rights on the folder itself lets them delete the whole folder as well.
