Hi @Mark Loht,
Please take a look into the following Blog from Oracle A-Team which is a good starting point to get the good understanding.
Hope this help.

Hi Mark,
Is this in OTBI Usage Track subject area or FDI? If it is OTBI, then I don;t think you can hide the attribute from a user having access to create analysis from this SA.
Hi @Raghavendra Raghunath-Oracle ,
Hope you are doing well. Can you please advise?
Thanks.

Hi Bhaskar- Use Case 5 looks applicable for Custom Subject Area. Can we implement this solution for Oracle provided out of the box subject area? In this case, the subject area would be "Common - Usage Tracking". Thanks!!

Hi,
If it's Oracle provided OTBI Subject Areas, I don't think we'll be able to extend it.
But if it's a Subject Area within your DWH, that might be extended based on requirement.
Hope this help.
