Why does an OTBI report run successfully for me but when the end user runs it, its spinning?
The client created an OTBI Analysis for an Asset Categories report with the following columns; Major Category
Default Life in Years |
Minor Category |
Asset Book |
Asset Cost Natural Account |
Depreciation Expense Natural Account |
Depreciation Reserve Natural Account |
While I can run the report successfully on my end within minutes, the end user receives an loading spinning wheel which keeps running endlessly with no output. What can be the potential cause of the issue? Is there any specific Asset-related roles or data access which the end user requires?

It could be due to the volume of data. The user running the OTBI may have access to much more data compared to your user and that's why this issue?
Can you add some filters and then ask the user to test?
Also, to improve performance, you can add a hint as explained in below MOS note
