Yes, definitely need database table or report to view permissions of a folder, subfolders, and tasks.

@Julian Challenger-Oracle - can you assist or point in the direction of who will know. It appears that there are lots of customers asking for the ability to report on permissions in OTBI/BIP , but no response from Oracle as to if this is in the pipeline at all.

Im needing this on a current client. Its very hard to see what roles have what permissions, can we get an update.
