Ability to Report on Previous Versions of Hierarchy

It would be a game-changer to be able to pull reports based on previous versions of our COA hierarchies. We spend a tremendous amount of time manually adjusting reports to take into account COA changes. Is this possible whether we receive the COA via the ERP extract or via an extract from EDM (which we do for our custom subject areas)? Thanks!

Agreed, it would be great to have this functionality in FDI!

I'm leaving this comment not so much as a Oracle Admin, but as a former ERP Analytics customer who encountered something similar. This idea is still open for votes, so simply take my comment as a potential workaround to consider:
In my prior role, the company had internal reorganizations which would impact the hierarchies of the "cost center" segment.
The way I navigated this is that I maintained multiple cost center segment hierarchies to reflect organizational changes that I knew management would want to report on. This looked something like maintaining a "2023 hierarchy" and a "2024 hierarchy," and then when 2025 rolled around, creating a "2025 hierarchy" to reflect those organizational changes. If it makes a difference - our company didn't have an EDM license, so I made all the hierarchy changes in Fusion ERP directly (Not sure if this would matter in your case since I have not personally used EDM.)

Very good suggestions
Thank you very much @Jamie Anderson-Oracle!

Very good idea @Corrinne Walkaus!
If it can be implemented, it'll be a Game-Changer and real helpful feature which will add so much values for Reporting. Upvoted.
Cheers,

This is certainly a reporting need that is surely felt across many customers and would add much value.

This is a topic that has recently been raised by my company. We find that as the business restructures and reorganises, we need to ideally try and maintain legacy reporting to report.
I guess what this could really be broken down as being is true point in time hierarchies to go with the point in time data for true point in time reporting.
