OAC - LOGGED IN USERNAME IS NOT DISPLAYED IN ANALYTICS LIKE IT WAS IN 12C
After connecting to OAC Classic BI Analytics, the connected username is no longer displayed in the top right hand side of the screen in OAC Analytics anymore like it was in OBIEE 11g & 12c.
Currently to see the user details, user needs to click on the "person" icon click on the User icon (My Profile) >> My Account to see the details.
Request is to display username in OAC Analytics as in OBIEE 11g & 12c, in the top right hand side of the screen, where you can see -> 'Signed in as' and the username that is connected.

The UI was updated to have a profile icon with your initials or a profile picture. This was a general improvement in OAC and OAS and part of the UX updates.
What is your goal with seeing the full username?

In addition, placing the mouse over the initials will show the full user name.

The reason for this is for the production support team in troubleshooting tickets that are logged. With the username available on the header, they can see who is running the report without having to ask the user to go to "My Profile" and then "My Account". The username drives the row-level security in the client's security model. The client would like to have this feature enabled. Oracle Support was not able to provide a workaround i.e. customization to allow this hence a ER was logged.

While this might be considered as an "improvement" by some, there are other customers who consider this the removal of a useful feature. It is unfortunate that the customer now has to justify a reason for the return of a feature which was removed without customer consultation. Alas, this seems to be a common theme being adopted by many software vendors in recent times. It is not just Oracle…1 -
Current profile icon to display details is good enough.
I don't see any issue here as technology and UX is changing.
