Securing Individual Visualizations

In the Classic View of OAC and OTBI, it is possible to create one version of a dashboard that will only show reports and analysis that users have access to via their roles. This is not currently possible in Data Visualizer as the workbooks are secured at a higher level.
To reduce the number of workbooks needed to be built, it would be really useful to be able to secure individual visualizations on a canvas so that you can build one version and areas users dont have access to don't show at all rather than showing an error message or no data. For example, when building a cross functional workbook with both finance and HCM information, I want to only have to create 1 version of the workbook and hide sections rather than having to create and maintain multiple versions of the workbook.

We have plans to secure the canvas in a workbook to specific user roles/ groups. Would this help?

Thanks @Avinash Krishnaram-Oracle
That would help but wouldn’t go far enough. There are use cases where individual visualisations on each canvas that may need to be hidden from certain groups.
As an example, you may have a single canvas with HCM insights that includes visualisations looking at diversity which some people might not have access to. You could duplicate the canvas and remove the diversity visuals but then would have to maintain 2 almost identical versions and ensure they are kept in line so would be better if you could secure the individual visualisations.

Yes this would be a useful feature

Voting for this feature.
This would help us to hide certain canvas specific to user based roles (example - Supervisor/ sub-ordinate / Leadership) in one workbook.
