Data Retention & Governance - Legislative-Aware Data Retention Control (LDRC)

Request a new FDI feature enabling administrators to define and enforce region-specific data retention policies for sensitive HCM data, such as candidate and employee information, even after it is deleted from the source system. This feature should allow:
- Configurable retention rules by country, legislation, and data entity.
- Automatic tracking of deletion events and application of retention timelines.
- Support for actions like retaining, anonymizing, or purging data based on legal requirements.
- Multi-region and multi-tenant support to handle complex compliance scenarios.
- Audit trails and reporting for compliance verification.
This will help organizations make sure FDI complies with varying global data privacy laws by selectively controlling what data is retained in the warehouse and for how long.
Thanks!
Khaled

This is a critical and much-needed enhancement for any global organisation using FDI.
As companies operate across multiple jurisdictions, navigating the complex web of data privacy laws is a major compliance burden. A 'one-size-fits-all' data retention approach creates an unnecessary risk.

It is imperative that all technology assets have the capability to identify and manage data in accordance with legislative and regulatory data retention requirements. This includes source systems and other technology assets that store data through the data lifecycle. This ensures that any data retained by the organisation can be properly justified. In light of the increasing frequency and severity of data breaches, the importance of managing risks associated with non-compliant data has grown significantly. Demonstrating compliance is not only a legal obligation but also a reflection of our commitment to safeguarding the personal information of our employees and maintaining their trust.
