Bug 29666089 : BI PUBLISHER DESKTOP FOR WORD 365 - WORD FREEZES

The current version of BI Publisher Desktop for 64-Bit is not very stable. It crashes and freezes so frequently and randomly that it is hard for us to give estimates for report development.

We are requesting Oracle fixes the 64-bit version of BI Publisher desktop so it is compatible with 64 bit operating systems and Office 365 - 64-bit and O365 is becoming an industry norm, if it is not so already.

Support suggested we try to use the 32-bit version since it is the "stable" version, but unfortunately it is impossible to get the 32-bit version to work on our 64-bit OS AND O365. 

Use Case and Business Need

The current version of BI Publisher Desktop for 64-Bit is not very stable. It crashes and freezes so frequently and randomly that it is hard for us to give estimates for report development.

 

64-bit and O365 is becoming an industry norm, if it is not so already.
