I have received an e-mail today from Oracle that support for Weblogic 12.2.1.4 will end after 2026. Oracle Analytics latest version 8.2 is for Weblogic 12.2.1.4.

I was planning to migrate to 8.2 but after above announcement I might postpone it. Is there an upcoming version of Oracle Analytics that will support newer Weblogic vedrsion?

    OAS 2025 (8.2) is supported for at least 1 more year, probably till March-April 2027 (the end of support depends on the release date of a newer version).

    Because OAS 2025 requires FMW 12.2.1.4, this will be supported for the whole time OAS is supported.

    OAS follows a yearly release cycle. It is usually released around March-April. You will need to wait few more months to know what version of FMW will be required for OAS 2026. And even if it will be 12.2.1.4, there is nothing to worry about: being a hard requirement, it will be supported for as long as the OAS version requiring it will be supported.

    If you do use Weblogic 12.2.1.4 as a standalone product, there the support could end earlier.

    Thank you for your update. I will wait then a few more months for the latest version and install this one.

    Regarding FMW 12.2.1.4 this is what I received. It does not seem to me that it will be supported after 2026.

    Oracle WebLogic Server 12.2.1.4 Premier Support is scheduled to end on December 31, 2026. After this date, only Extended and Sustaining Support will be available—meaning no further full updates or quarterly security fixes.

    Since the newer Analytics will be available in a few months I wait and see which Weblogic is required and take it from there.

    The message you got is for WebLogic itself, but you aren't using WebLogic itself, you are using it as part of your OAS stack, and therefore the support of OAS will also cover the required WebLogic, you don't have to worry for now.

    Right now, waiting to see what OAS 2026 will be like (what FMW is it based on), is probably the best move if you don't have an urgent requirement to act in the next month.

    OAS is planned to uptake a newer FMw technology stack, including Java (JDK/JRE) in the next release.

    It needs correction though. Should be FMW and not FMw.
