Securing imported data in FDI
I need to know what kind of security is available for importing csv file in FDI through sftp, in particular:
- Is it possible to authenticate via SSH key? It seems so by looking at this, I just want to be sure:
- Is it possible to import a PGP encrypted file (or any other type of encryption)?
Thank you

I think you are correct for Point 1. Not sure about Point 2.
On a separate note: If you are looking for Role Level security to External Data in FDI; please take a look into the following Oracle Video.
Hope you are well. Can you please help and share your expert opinion?

@Stefano_Mazzocca - Please find the responses below:
- Yes, it is feasible to connect to an SFTP server using the connector provided by FDI. The connector supports authentication using a username, password, and private keys.
- At present, the connector supports only unencrypted CSV files. Encrypted files are not supported because there is no mechanism available for defining decryption within the connector.
Note: The SFTP server’s IP address must be provided as a public IP. Hostnames, fully qualified domain names (FQDN), or Class A private IP addresses are not supported as part of the prerequisites.
Hope this clarifies. Thanks for using Oracle community!.
