OBIEE 12.2.1.4 on FMW 12.2.1.3 upgrade to FMW 12.2.1.4 RCU?

Hello,

I am upgrading OBIEE 12.2.1.4 on FMW 12.2.1.3 to FMW 12.2.1.4, following KB688074 and PNEWS1548 (the old 3004029.1).   KB688074 says to create a new domain.  These documents don't state what to do about the RCU schemas.  Do I need to run RCU to create new schemas or upgrade them?

I am not migrating to OAS because we are currently using Solaris SPARC 11.4.  I was hoping OAS would be available on Solaris by now.

(current environment:  Oracle database 19c, Solaris SPARC 11.4, OBIEE 12.2.1.4 on FMW 12.2.1.3)

Hi Arjun,

KB688074 says to create a new domain, but the documents you referenced say to reconfigure the existing domain and upgrade domain components with the upgrade assistant.  Should I create a new domain or reconfigure the existing domain?

Hi Gianni,

Thanks for that information.  We are planning to migrate our Solaris servers to Linux but are still in the planning stages.  In the meantime, I'm trying to get us to the terminal version of OBIEE 12c.
