migrateEUL.exe file not available in OBIEE12c

Hi All,

We want to migrate discoverer reports from discoverer 11g to OBIEE 12c. i am not able to find migrateEUL.exe utility for this in OBIEE 12c.

I have seen some articles that there is one utility for migrating this in OBIEE 11g (migrateEUL.exe or .sh), but same not available in OBIEE12c, please guide me how to do this in 12c.

    If you're on Linux/unix, run the command below and post back the result. 

    locate -n 10 /migrateEUL.exe

    Hi Gbenga,

    Thanks your update.

    I ran the command above in my system, nothing was returned. above link for 11g version, but mine is Obiee 12c.

    Please let me know, if I have any other options to do find this.

    This is the update i got Oracle for migrating Discoverer 11g to OBIEE 12c

    They are very different products and so migrating from Discoverer to OBIEE is not easy

    First you may have to migrate to OBIEE 11G

    for that , please refer the below documents.

    Goal

    You are using legacy Oracle Discover and want ot migrate over to OBIEE / OBIA 11g.

    All legacy Discoverer data needs to be moved over to OBIEE.

    Documentation refers to a link with a conversion utility

    Is this tool still valid?

    Solution

    If Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) 11g software is already installed, then you will find the metadata conversion assistant (MigrateEUL.exe) in the following location of OBIEE:

    ORACLE_HOME\bifoundation\server\bin

    Documentation that describes how to use the metadata conversion assistant can be found in the following location:

    ORACLE_HOME\bifoundation\server\document

    If the OBIEE 11g software is not already installed it can be downloaded from OTN. For a windows client you can proceed as follows.

    Navigate to Oracle Technet

    Click on "Business Intelligence Suite EE"

    When you reach the Download screen choose the most current such as : Oracle Business Intelligence 11g (11.1.1.7.0) under "Microsoft Windows" to download and unzip.

    After installing the BI Server software, find the metadata conversion assistant as mentioned above.

    Note:

    This is an older utility and is "as is" unsupported and "use at your own risk".

    Customers have used it with success but any issues cannot be addressed with Oracle support. Also, please be aware that this is Not available from 11.1.1.8.x and later. Further the converted RPD cannot be opened by later releases. Even in 11.1.1.7.1. w/PBs applied so use at your own risk

    once you are on OBIEE 11G , Then you can move to 12 c
