Compatibility Framework 11g Migrating OBIEE 12c

Question

Hi,

we are searching more information about "Compatibility Framework 11g" button. This panel is in BI Enterprice Manager and It's can found in "Biinstance menu" and page "General"

We want to know how affects to BI Analytics Dashboards and answers. When someone applies that button, what change can we see?

Please anyone can tell us how runs that option?

As far as I know it's a system wide setting, not something you enable or disable at an analysis or dashboard level.

This setting is supposed to make your OBIEE 12c act and work as an OBIEE 11g system.

The problem I see with it is: why to migrate to 12c if then you tell the system to forget it's a 12c but it must work as an 11g? It's easier to just stay on a real 11g if not wanting to invest the time required to fix the elements not working or working in a different way. And thanks to BVT you can easily spot these objects.

Sorry, we are talking about the follow window in Enterprise Manager. Are there any thing for using this option in specific dashboard o answer, or with this option affects to completly BI Analytics?
